Rossmoor
Rossmoor is composed of 1.6 miles and lies to the north of Seal Beach,south of Los Alamitos, east of Long Beach and west of the 605 Freeway.A smaller Orange County city, which borders Los Angeles County lines, its total population is just under 12,000.
Parks
Rossmoor Park is a richly landscaped outdoor haven. With newly constructed tennis courts, baseball diamonds and playgrounds, children and adults alike find pleasure in the large grassy lawns and relaxing ambiance.
Local Events
Given its tight knit community atmosphere, Rossmoor is known for the local events it holds throughout the year. From picnics in the park to summer music festivals to holiday celebrations, the city keeps an ongoing list of weekly events that can be enjoyed.
Attractions and Shopping
Although commonly lumped in as being part of Los Alamitos, Rossmoor is actually an independent city. It does however take advantage of being in close proximity to both Los Alamitos and Seal Beach, where the dining, shopping and entertainment options, including the Los Alamitos Race Track, El Dorado Regional Park and Cerritos Performing Arts Center. Given the community is a short five mile distance from the Pacific Ocean, residents find enjoyment in taking a day trip to the beach to enjoy the Seal Beach pier, white sandy beaches and local boutique shops.

Area History & Information
Rossmoor was developed in 1955 by Ross W. Cortese – the same person who planned and constructed the successful Leisure World gated community. The city is proud to be independent of neighboring area,which explains its red brick “signature wall” that borders the entire community – a signature piece that differentiates it from neighboring cities Los Alamitos and Seal Beach
